The Puglia of pleasure boating is growing exponentially. This is evidenced by the formalization, after four years of work that has not slowed down even in the long pandemic period, of the “Marine di Puglia” brand, created by the Nautical District of Puglia.

The Marine di Puglia brand is born

A network that brings together as many as 21 Marinas that embellish the more than 800 km of regional coastline, providing quality services to boaters. The project was presented in Brindisi on the occasion of the Snim, the Puglia Boat Show, on stage in the Adriatic city until October 16th.

The choice of location, of course, was not accidental. The Marina di Brindisi, in fact, is one of the major promoters of the project, the only one of its kind in the national panorama. In fact, there is a similar experience in Tuscany too, but the “Apulian laboratory” is numerically more consistent.

Now, after the official baptism, which took place in the presence of Loredana Capone, former regional councilor for the tourism industry and currently president of the Regional Council, we move on to the organizational and operational phase.

The ingredients to do well are all there, including a strong enthusiasm, the result of an awareness: Puglia has seized the importance of the blue economy quickly, in unsuspecting times and has staked everything on pleasure boating, making itself ready in the moment of the post Covid-19 restart.

In fact, during the comparison, it emerged that in activities related to the sea, this region is in contrast with the attitude it assumes in other sectors.

In fact, in general, it is the territories of northern Italy that boast entrepreneurs who are more inclined to consortium, to stay together. In this case, on the other hand, as confirmed by Puglia Promotion, the entrepreneurs of the nautical segment and the Marinas, coordinated by the Nautical District of Puglia, go against the trend and try to be partners rather than competitors.

As for the Snim, the event is characterized by a series of thematic events ranging from training and employment opportunities deriving from the blue economy for young people from Puglia, to the show cooking of the hotel establishments that adhere to the network of hotel establishments in Puglia that , for the duration of the event, they will cook seafood dishes with local products.

The president of the Brindisi Marina, Claudio Gorelli, engaged with all the management in an important infrastructure enhancement operation, is happy to host an event of this magnitude.

“We are very pleased to host Snim once again, it is a way to consolidate a virtuous collaboration between local excellences; on the one hand, a leading event on the regional scene, on the other a suggestive and strategic location, on which we are working hard. I therefore hope that this dialogue will intensify and structure over time, the economy of the sea and operators in the sector need consolidated and lasting partnerships to achieve ever more ambitious goals “.
